Mary and Graham have assembled a show with piano accompaniments by Ryan Mackenzie consisting of classic songs from the GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK predominately dating from the 1920's to the 1940's.

Two of Britain’s Brightest singing stars are coming to Southwold this June. BBC’s ‘Bread’ star Graham Bickley and international concert performer Mary Carewe come to Southwold to give us a sensational evening of songs of Love and Romance following their recent recording of a new album ‘Long Ago and Far Away’ with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
You will be treated to songs from the 1920’s – 1940’s such as ‘My Funny Valentine’, ‘It Had To Be You’, ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’ and ‘Every Time We Say Goodbye - songs by George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter and Rodgers & Hart. You really are in for a treat.
Mary appears on the soundtrack recording for hundreds of films including The Hobbit and The Pirates of the Caribbean, and has sung live with the likes of Paul Young, Cat Stevens, Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker. Graham has performed in The Pajama Game, (Dora Award ‘Best Actor’ nomination, Toronto), Les Misérables, Metropolis, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard (playing opposite Petula Clark), and Ragtime, (Two nominations: the Laurence Olivier and the Whatsonstage Award for ‘Best Actor in a Musical’).
For BBC Television, Graham played the role of Joey Boswell in Carla Lane’s comedy series, Bread.
