Whilst we have been closed we have been busy ensuring the Arts Centre is fully compliant with Government COVID-19 regulations and is safe for our reopening. We have installed perspex screens, reconfigured our indoor space, entrances and exits and fully risk assessed our operations along with Public Health guidance. We're proud to say our efforts have been recognised by VisitBritain and we have been awarded the 'Good to Go' accreditation. Our COVID-19 safety measures from May 17th 2021 (as per Government guidelines): Socially-distanced queuing outside and inside hall; one way circulation round foyer and hall; hand sanitizers in foyer and toilets; venue ventilated and thoroughly cleaned before shows, fans operating during shows; seating rows spaced by 1m; one empty seats between each family group (maximum hall capacity 50%); compulsory face masks for audience (supplied if needed); appropriate protection, including face masks, for staff. These measures continue till July 19th. After that date, for the 'Theatre on the Coast Season', we will use our full raked block (space between rows 3ft), but retain 1-seat spacing between groups, so capacity is 170. All other COVID safety measures will remain in place. After September 6th we will return to our normal seating layout, but for the moment ask customers to continue to wear face-masks and respect the one-way system.
