We have some exciting plans for the building, which include proposals to replace the hall ceiling, install new insulation in the roof space, together with some other smaller improvements to the venue. We have also received hundreds of replies to our recent questionnaire, and delighted to have had almost unanimous support to the proposals. We hadsome interesting and wide ranging ideas for improvements, which we hope to be able to implement.
We have just learnt that East Suffolk Council Business and Community Hub Fund have awarded us a grant of £15,500 towards this project, so things are under way! Phase 1 & 2 will be the ceiling, insulation and other smaller improvements. These two phases will cost over £35,000 so we now need to raise £20,000 more. We have some other grant applications being considered, but we are now launching an appeal for donations to help us towards this goal and help bridge the gap.
Our supporters were very generous when we faced severe financial difficulties during the COVID lockdowns of 2020 and we are delighted to have bounced back, better than ever.
