Seemingly brought together by a chance meeting, are they going to spend an afternoon contemplating possible mutual seduction - or, as layers of plot peel away, will the murky secrets of their past reveal something as dark as murder?
The tension is relentless and smacks of 40’s film noir: a rich vamp, duelling in both words and action with a stranger who seems to be rough trade. But this is London, not Hollywood, and the jeopardy is real, with prey and predator – and us – not knowing which is which until the very last moment.
