Orwell Weekend - documentary film about Orwell

Orwell’s family settled in Southwold in 1921. They lived in 3 different rented houses before buying Montague House. He crammed for and passed the exams for the Burma Police while he was in Southwold after Eton College and returned there after Burma. He made many important relationships and friendships during his time in the 1930s in Southwold.
This weekend will explore the town and these relationships through a
combination of walks and talks from excellent speakers.
We would like to invite you to two events to be held in The Southwold Arts Centre which are central to our weekend.

Raoul Peck’s inspiring film on Orwell and his continuing relevance 2+2=5 will go on General Release on March 27th . The Producers and Distributors of the film are delighted to make it available to us to show then.
