Otters Pocket

The Otters Pocket are a Halesworth based, six piece, Soul and Blues band. The band is made up of Suffolk based creatives (musicians, actors and singers) and it now has a great following around East Anglia.

The lead singer is Suffolk born Steve Foster who is always the life and soul of any party and band! Steve (Tuffy) has sung in many bands and was an integral part of the infamous ‘Gig in the Park’ that was so popular and successful in Halesworth for many years - he knows everybody in Suffolk. The rest of the band is made up of Sally Blouet (saxophone, clarinet and vocals), Marie Smith (lead, backing vocals and tambourine), Andy Candler (lead guitar), Val Tolhurst (bass), Pete Mabbs (drums).

Otters Pocket are always adding to their repertoire and part of their philosophy is to embrace and combine new and old music from Hit the Road Jack to No Surprises, from Valerie to I thank You, All About The Bass, I Feel Good, Proud Mary, Car Wash, Treat Her Right, Do I Love You, You Can Leave Your Hat On, Wagon Wheel and Hallelujah. As Northern Soul is having a resurgence in popularity The Otters are really embracing this genre and some of the Northern Soul songs they play are amongst the most popular and regularly requested.

An evening with the Otters always provides lots of fun, dancing and interaction, come and join us for a drink, a dance and a walk down memory lane.
