Thursday 18 September 2024 ~ Talk: Big cats around the globe
This talk will take the audience on a journey around the globe, exploring what are big cats, where do they live, what are their situations and problems in their natural habitat as well as what conservation efforts are out there to help them in their fight against extinction. It covers a wide range of cats from the real big ones like tigers and lions to even some medium-sized and smaller wild cats like the clouded leopard and the bob cat. The talk is illustrated by photos that Barbara has taken in captivity and in South Africa.
Barbara Meyer is a wildlife photographer, who dedicates her photography to help endangered big cat species in their fight for survival as well as to raise awareness for the situation of British wildlife.
